They encourage students to be imaginative in their presentations. His productions have been staged with little or no budget, so casts (professional or student) have to rely on their own resources to create their theatrical “world”. Each extract from the following plays are contextualised by an introduction by Mark: Too Much Punch For Judy; No Place for a Girl; Chunnel of Love; The collection is preceded by a workshop activity which encourages students to develop more theatrical devised work. This underpins the structure of many of the scenes in this collection. There is a partner DVD showing imaginative versions of each of these scenes by Mark’s award winning (All England Theatre Festival Champions 2010) Oasis Youth Theatre from the Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill in Southampton.
